"Vanilla Bean Colada" The Willow - Baltimore, MD


Drink Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 oz. of Vanilla infused Rum.
  • 1/2 oz. of Pineapple Syrup.
  • 1 oz. of Freshly Pressed Coconut Milk.
Drink Preparations:
  • fill an Old Fashioned Glass with ice.
  • Add the ingredients to a shaker in order listed above.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake.
  • Pour and strain into Old Fashioned glass. 
  • Grate cinnamon over cocktail.
  • If you choose garnish with a flower.
  • Enjoy!
Side Note: How to make Vanilla Infused Rum - In this case we are using Vanilla extract rather than vanilla beans. So add 1 oz. of Vanilla extract to a jar of white rum. Give the jar a good shake. Store in a cool, dark place. For the next three to four days, take the jar out and give it a good shake. On the fourth day it is ready to be used.

"Mary Berry Spritzer" Fork and Wrench - Baltimore, MD

Drink Ingredients:
  • Strawberries and Blackberries.
  • 1/2 oz. of Grenadine.
  • 1 1/2 oz. of Vodka.
  • 3/4 oz. of Rosemary Syrup.
  • 1 oz. of Lemon Juice.
  • Fresh Lemon.
Drink Preparation:
  • Muddle Strawberries and Blackberries in Grenadine.
  • In Carbonator mix Vodka, Rosemary Syrup, Lemon Juice and squeeze fresh Lemon and ice to carbonator. Carbonate.
  • Pour ice over muddled fruit. Pour vodka mix over the ice.
  • Garnish with Lemon Peel and Rosemary Sprig.

This cocktail was created by Ian Clark, who has created several cocktails for us. While he is a not a big fan of being videotaped making his cocktails. Don't let that fool you, he is quite creative behind the bar and makes some pretty good cocktails. So stop in the Fork and Wrench and have Ian take care of you.

"Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar" The Willow - Baltimore, MD

Drink Ingredients:
  • 2 muddled Strawberries
  •  Cinnamon brown sugar syrup.
  • 1 egg white.
  • 1/5 oz. of Lime Juice.
  • 1.5 oz. of Hendricks Gin.
  • 1 dash of Black Walnut Bitters.
  • 2 barspoons of Aged Balsamic Vinegar.

Drink Preparation:
  • Add ice to Cocktail glass to chill and set aside.
  •  Muddle Strawberries then add Cinnamon Brown Sugar Syrup are then aside.
  • add egg white mix with Lime juice into a shaker. Then dry shake, the lime juice kills the bacteria in the egg white. Then add the muddled strawberries, add the 1.5 oz. of Hendricks Gin, the 1 dash of Black Walnut Bitters and 2 bar spoons of Aged Balsamic Vinegar.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake.
  • Dump ice out of Cocktail glass, then double strain.
  • Garnish with the top of a Strawberry.
Side Notes: To make the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Simple Syrup. Take a litre of water boil with 3-5 cinnamon sticks. Then strain off after it comes to a boil. The water level will less after boiling and straining off. So add the equal amount of Brown sugar to the left over water.

A bar spoon is equivalent to a teaspoon so if you do not have a bar spoon handy, use a teaspoon for the Aged Balsamic Vinegar.

"Baska Bubbles" Bad Decisions - Baltimore, MD

Drink Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Baska Snaps.
  • 1 Sugar Cube.
  • 3 Drops of Orange Blossom Water.
  • Champagne.
  • Orange Twist.
Drink Preparation:
  • Place Sugar Cube in a Champagne Flute.
  • Add 3 drops of Orange Blossom Water.
  • Top off with Champagne.
  • Then add long Orange Twist.

"Blueberry Pisco" The Willow - Baltimore, MD

Drink Ingredients:
  • 1 dozen Blueberries with Cassis.
  • 1 egg white.
  • 1/2 oz. of Lemon Juice.
  • 1 1/2 oz. of Pisco (Grape Brandy)
  • 1/2 oz. of Cassis
  • Dash of Black Walnut Bitters.
Drink Preparations:
  • Fill cocktail glass with ice to chill.
  • Blueberries and Cassis in a glass, muddle then set to the side.
  • Add egg white to a shaker with Lime Juice.
  • Shake the egg white and Lemon Juice.
  • Add Pisco, The Black Walnut Bitters.
  • Add the Blueberries to the shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Double Strain into cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with Cassis and sugar covered Blueberries.
  • You can also garnish with graham cracker and sugar covered rim.
