"The Raven" Rye - Baltimore,MD

With the Super Bowl this week, we decided to do two new drinks this week. One for the Ravens and another for the 49ers. 

Drink Ingredients:
  • Vodka 2 oz.
  • Creme De Violette 1 oz. 
  • Cassis .5 oz.
  • Lime juice .5 oz.
  • St. Germain .5 oz.
Drink Preparations: 
  • Chill cocktail glass, with ice in cocktail glass. 
  • Add ingredients to shaker as listed above.
  • Add ice to shaker and shake for about 30 seconds.
  • Empty ice from cocktail glass. 
  • Pour with a strainer into cocktail glass. If so desired double strain. 
  • Garnish with lime peel. 
  • Enjoy slowly, this drink goes down like fruit juice.

"Handshake" Rye - Baltimore,MD


Drink Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. of Buffalo Trace.
  • 3/4 oz. Meletti.
  • 1/2 oz. Peach Liqueur.
  • 2 dash Chocolate Bitters.
  • 2 dash Black Walnut Bitters.
Drink Preparation: 
  • Fill cocktail glass with ice, to chill glass.
  • Add ingredients to mixing glass in order listed..
  • Add ice to the glass and using a bar spoon, stir for about 30 seconds.
  • Empty ice from cocktail glass.
  • Strain into cocktail glass.Garnish an Orange twist (flamed) this releases the oils of the Orange twist. 
  • Run Orange twist around rim of the glass and place in cocktail. Enjoy cocktail.

"The Kingfisher" Willow - Baltimore,MD


Drink Ingredients: 
  • 1 1/2 oz. of Bulldog Gin.
  • 1/2 oz. Creme De Violette.
  • 1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice.
  • 1/2 oz. of Cardamom simple syrup.
  • 2 dashes of Orange Bitters. 
Drink Preparation:
  • Add ice to cocktail glass to chill.
  • Add ingredients to shaker in order as listed add ice and shake.
  • Empty ice from cocktail glass and double strain.
  • Topped with edible Yellow Peony. 

Side Note: Cardamom Simple Syrup. If you go to the post of September 26th, there is a video and instructions on how to make simple syrup. It is Cayenne Pepper, but just add Cardamom bitters instead.

"Jalapenorita" Admiral's Cup - Baltimore,MD


Drink Ingredients: 
  • 2 oz. of Jalapeno Tequila.
  • 1 Lime squeezed.
  • 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar.
  • 1/2 oz. of Triple Sec
Drink Preparations:
  • Rub rim of rocks glass with lime then coat with salt. 
  • Squeeze lime into a shaker. Then add the Tequila and Agave. 
  • Add a scoop of ice and then add the Triple Sec. 
  • Shake the ingredients. 
  • Add ice to the glass and strain. 
  • Garnish with slice of lime on rim of glass.
This is a pretty good drink. It has a bite at first of course, after that first sip it has a sweet spicy taste.

"Winters Moon" Fork & Wrench - Baltimore,MD



Drink Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 oz. of Templeton Rye.
  • 1/2 oz. of Pimento Dram.
  • 1/2 oz. of Ginger Simple Syrup.
  • Dash of Cardamom Bitters.
  • 1 oz. of Hard Apple Cider.
  • 1 oz. of Soda Water.
Drink Preparations:
  • Add ingredients in order as listed in Old Fashioned Glass. 
  • Add ice. Garnish with orange peel, after twisting it to release the oils in the cocktail.
Side Note: To make the Ginger Simple Syrup 1 cup of hot (almost boiling) water to 1 cup of sugar. 

To add flavor simply add desired spice, extract juice etc. in small portions until it reaches desired flavor. You may refer to the video Titled "Simple Syrup with Cayenne Pepper" to see how to make Simple Syrup.
