- 2 oz. Bodegas Maurodos Tempranillo.
- .75 oz. Bitter Truth Sloe Gin.
- .5 oz. of Mezcal.
- .75 oz. of Tamarind Simple Syrup.
- .25 oz. of Fresh Lemon Juice.
- Add the above ingredients to shaker.
- Add ice to shaker and shake.
- Strain into highball/long drink glass.
- Garnish with Brandied Cherries and Lemon Thyme.
- The Lemon Thyme you slap to release the aroma.
- Enjoy!
The name of this cocktail as Megan mentioned comes from the title of a book written by Ernest Hemingway. This cocktail is a cobbler style cocktail- red wine based, smoke balanced with some sour. This is a very delicious cocktail. When you take your first sip, take the time to enjoy it and you taste the flavors burst in your mouth.
