The Bronx Cocktail

This drink actually has some interesting history behind it. This was a very popular drink during the Prohibition. The drink was popular due to the fact that Gin was easy to make and inexpensive. During the Prohibition every SpeakEasy also had orange juice and some form of vermouth. This made the Bronx an easy cocktail to make during this period.

Drink Ingredients:
  • 2 oz of gin
  • 1/2 oz of dry vermouth
  • 1/2 of sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz of fresh orange juice
Drink Preparation:
  • Shake all ingredients in well with ice
  • Then strain into a chilled cocktail glass

  1. Just had one of these at the bar around the corner from my place. This is a great drink! Think they made it a bit different, but it was still good.
