Add ice, top with bourbon and stir to mix.
For those who do not know what it is to muddle: it is to use a muddler (which looks like a small baseball bat) it is used to for mashing sugar cubes, fruit, herbs, and even ice in cocktails. When muddling fruit, such as in an Old-Fashioned. You must mash the fruit enough to release the oils in the rind.

ReplyDeleteyou are correct a pestle is bat shaped, but a pestle is designed for food preparation. A muddler is for alcohol.
